*Biography*

At 20 yrs of age,  Sumedh Bagaitkar is a musician extraordinaire who has stepping in the world of music with his rendition of Ragas on the Keyboard or mostly known as synthesizer .
Choosing to perform on an instrument that has traditionally been considered unsuitable for Hindustani Classical Music, Sumedh'sability of innovative handling of a raga blends his diverse musical influences and has left listeners spellbound. His soulful renditions in traditional Alap jod jhala style are expressed with simplicity, speed and depth.He started perfoming from a very tender age of 8yrs.

Bestowed with the unique title of “Raga and fusion Keyboardist”, the musician is a delight to watch as he loses himself to his music, fingers follow the pace of the mind , as he unfolds the notes of the Raga to create a captivating musical experience. His playing with rhythmic intelligence and unfailing clarity of technique veers from delicately decorative to dazzling moments of improvisations.

Sumedh has developed his own style of playing Synthesizer by playing keyboard with a blend of Santur and Sitar style technique, with his speciality is mixing these 2 styles with original traditional piano style.This make him unique from some of other players of his trend.

Sumedh's musical creativity draws from his advanced training in western classical and jazz at various music conservatoires from India along with the exploration of Dhrupad style under his Guru Shri.Shrihari ji.He has a "Gayaki aang" in his playing which includes "Meend" and "Gamaks" like sitar and has sharpness and speed of santur.

He also plays classical rock ,western hard rock and progressive rock on keyboard.As he says progressive rock is similar to improvisation in ragdaari.Recently in Eternity the fusion by Sumedh Bagaitkar and friends, he played rock tone on keyboard with lightining speed.This concept is also designed by him.

He is one and only of his age who performs Traditional  Indian classical on Keyboard/Synthesizer.

Despite being  an engineering student he takes a while to perform in concerts as he enjoy doing so from bottom of his heart.He also takes time out for riyaz everyday.He says "my passion and profession both will unite to make something great as I believe in my work".

He states that," Riyaz in music or in any field is the only the thing which helps to discover your own powers and abilities".
